Two hours ago Tara and I bought bread, cheese and tomato soup from a grocery store called Tesco.  Twenty minutes ago we saw the same grocery store getting its windows broken in by teenagers in hoodies.  Then we saw a little cloud of smoke rising from it.  After that some rioters ran by us and we got scared so we went home.  We are staying with my family in the West London suburbs called Ealing (it’s definitely not the scary part of town at all) and apparently up the road cars and restaurants are burning and stores are being looted.  This is the most exciting and scary time of my life so far.
