Good night with good people

These 4 years of college have taught me a lot about who I am but even more about who I want to be.

A song that always makes my heart hurt…in the good way. This record is sweet fucking sorrow.

So I am late on the uptake like always, but this week I have become obsessed with Anaïs Mitchell’s folk opera Hadestown.  It’s based on the story of Orpheus who travels through the underworld to save his wife, Eurydice, in Greek mythology.  The album has a wide range of musical styles with some sounding more musical theater-y and others more pop folksy (especially the tracks with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon).

I ordered this today and I’m still not 100% about it but ASOS has a good return policy.  I am going to Florida for a week after finals and I needed a new suit.  I feel like it will look nice under my denim shirt, an essential for every pale, soft-bodied beachcomber.
